A revolutionary new skin treatment, which featured on Jeremy Kyle’s Morning Surgery this week, is now available at Skin Medi-Spa.
The Belfast beauty and aesthetic clinic, based on Lisburn Road, is one of the first in Northern Ireland to introduce the pioneering Dermaroller therapy.
The treatment improves the appearance of scars, stretch marks and aged skin by using a micro-needling technique to promote skin regeneration.
Microscopic needle holes are created in the skin, encouraging it to produce more collagen and elastin, which creates new skin cells. When treated on a regular basis, the skin can repair itself more effectively, leaving a firmer and younger-looking appearance.
Dermaroller is already being heralded as the solution to post-pregnancy or weight loss stretch marks, acne scars and wrinkles.
Skin Medi-Spa owner Judith Mulgrew said: “Dermaroller is a ground-breaking treatment, and we are delighted to be among the first in Northern Ireland to offer this service to our customers.
“It represents a massive step forward for anyone who is self-conscious about scarring or marks on their skin. The only options previously open to someone wanting to improve the appearance of their skin in a similar way would have been laser treatment or surgery.
“Dermaroller provides a much more innovative alternative to traditional cosmetic surgery.”
The positive impact of the treatment has also been highlighted by TV host Jeremy Kyle.
On Monday’s episode of Jeremy Kyle’s Morning Surgery, he said the treatment gives “the opportunity to do something that’s safe, that’s not complicated, that improves how you see yourself, how you live your life, how you feel”.
Treatments typically consist of three Dermaroller sessions, held six weeks apart. Dermaroller is priced at £200 for a facial treatment. To book your free consultation call Skin Medi-Spa on 02890 681066.
