Lisburn firm Lowe Refrigeration is heading to Dubai later this month as the official refrigeration supplier to one of the world’s largest food and hospitality exhibitions.
Gulfood 2011, which is being held between February 27 and March 2, will see 3,500 exhibitors descend on the Gulf emirate to display their food and beverage products. And the event’s organisers have chosen Lowe to ensure that the showcased produce looks and tastes its best throughout the exhibition.
Lowe, headquartered at Knockmore Industrial Estate, has been an official contractor at Gulfood for more than a decade. More than 55,000 buyers from the food trade visited last year’s Gulfood exhibition and a similar number are expected to attend this month’s event.
The company’s rental sales manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Rachel Lowry, explained: “Gulfood is such a large event that there are very few companies globally that would be able to cope with the sheer quantity of fridges and freezers needed, let alone the support staff required to ensure all the exhibitors get the very best service.
“Lowe Refrigeration has a track record of delivering a quality service at Gulfood and other vast exhibitions. That is why we have again been entrusted with ensuring that the exhibitors have a reliable refrigeration service available to them.”
The exhibition is being held at the enormous Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, where more than 1 million square feet of exhibition space has been sold.
Lowe will be sending around 20 engineers and technicians to Dubai, along with five members of its bilingual sales team to liaise with clients during the exhibition. The company’s 14 containers are en route to the Middle East to ensure they arrive in plenty of time.
Exhibitors have already chosen from Lowe’s range of refrigeration and electrical units to make sure they have the best equipment to store and display their produce available at Gulfood 2011.
Rachel added: “We’re delighted to have been selected as an official contractor at Gulfood once again. We are now looking forward to greeting our clients in Dubai and helping them to have a successful exhibition.”
Lowe will not be the only Northern Irish representatives at the exhibition. A number of companies from the Province, including Dale Farm, Kilkeel’s Rooney Fish and The Classic Mineral Water Company, of Lurgan, will be using Lowe equipment to display their products.
